SCOTTISH DIABETES TECHNOLOGIES AND INNOVATION GROUP MEETING
The Scottish Diabetes Technologies and Innovation Group (SDTIG) will be meeting on Wednesday 20th March. The SDTIG is chaired by Prof Brian Kennon and is managed by Ela Fergusson the National Diabetes Innovation Coordinator who is hosted within the West of Scotland Innovation Hub.
The vision of the SDTIG:
1. To maximise opportunities around data, technologies and innovation to improve diabetes care and outcomes in Scotland
2. For Scotland to become an internationally renowned 'testbed/research' arena for the development and assessment of technologies and innovations used in diabetes care

BIOREPOSITORY HUMAN TISSUE RESEARCH CONFERENCE
Members of the West of Scotland Innovation Hub will attend the Biorepository Human Tissue Research Conference, which will take place at the Teaching and Learning Centre at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, on Thursday 21st March. The event will provide an opportunity to find out more about the legislation, facilities and support available in Glasgow to researchers and academics who use human tissue in their studies and teaching across all specialties. ECMC PAN-SCOTLAND MEETING
Dr Katriona Brooksbank, head of the West of Scotland Innovation Hub, and Industry Collaboration Project Manager Rasheeq Syed, will attend the 1st Annual Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre pan-Scotland meeting. The event will bring together oncologists and researchers from across Scotland, and include presentations on clinical and scientific research themes including precision oncology, biomarkers in clinical trials, novel immunotherapy and PPI. This educational and networking event, be held in Dunblane, will include panel discussions with representatives from cancer centres across the country.
This event is being organised by Glasgow Adult ECMC and is free to attend.

HEALTHCARE INNOVATION EVENT DURING GLASGOW TECH WEEK
The West of Scotland Innovation Hub is planning to hold an all-day healthcare innovation event on Friday 17th May during Glasgow Tech Week. The event, to be held at the Imaging Centre of Excellence at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, will attract industry partners, academics and clinicians.
